The KnitPicks order has arrived! For everyone who ordered, and has been very patient while the post office neglected to tell me that there was a package waiting for me, please get in touch so that I can get your stuff to you!

Another landing which has taken place: I have a new apartment! I am in the middle of moving (which in my opinion ought to be banned in the months of December and January), so while I have had lots to say over the last while I have not had lots of time on my hands. Some things have had to fall by the wayside. Blogging, for instance. Oh, and also the um… well…

Christmas knitting.

I know! I can’t believe it either. Normally knitting is what saves my sanity, but this time it’s breaking me. I sit down to knit and start twitching because shouldn’t I be packing boxes? Shouldn’t I be tidying up the place I’m leaving? Shouldn’t I be…

Sleeping!? Oh yeah. That.

So in this whirlwind season of Christmas and working and moving and travelling and family and shopping (oh right. I’m not allowed to do that.) and general stress merriment, I hope you all have a chance to slow down and enjoy the wonderful quiet times as well. This year for me is an excercise in adjusting expectations (mostly of myself). I have to remember to breathe and let things happen as they do. See the season through the eyes of my 4 year old, and not allow the fact that I don’t have a tree up get to me. I will spend the day with my family, and that’s what counts.

I wish you all a wonderful Holiday.

Talk to you again soon!
