We spent the weekend at my parents’ new place on Mississippi Lake near Perth and Evan had a whale of a time. We saw a family fishing (presumably for their dinner… *shudder*) and the little Dude was quite taken by the fish in the bucket.
Anyone who has a two-year-old will know that they are hard to pin down…
Unless you’re Dad.
There was lots of attention paid to Dad this weekend…
It was good. I even managed to get some knitting done.
That’s the Lotus Blossom Shawl that I’m knitting. In front of a lovely fire, with my boy sitting quietly beside me in his Bob the Builder Jammies. Oh commercialism. Anyway, it was nice to have a quiet morning like that! I finished the shawl last night . Anyone who has read the Yarn Harlot’s entry about finishing her Lotus Blossom will know what I faced last night. “Two hours and twenty-five dastardly minutes” went into Steph’s Bobble Bind-off. Mine? Same. Gah. Good thing I did it while watching lots of CSI!
So now the Lotus Blossom is blocking quietly as I type. It is taking a lot of restraint not to go up to my room and watch it dry! Am I the only one who is silly like that?
Oh well, it is lovely, and I will enjoy wearing it. *grin*
